I know I have been seriously slacking on my posts. Last week I went on a lake house trip unexpectedly and then went on the planned trip to Greenwich, CT. I can't wait to share those photos, and will shortly... but first here are the highlights from the spontaneous pre- Greenwich lake house trip.
First of all we took an epic convertible down to Rhode Island which just made the trip even better. I'm just so happy they didn't roll up in a Prius, this car was far from a Prius. We were making good time when we start seeing several other cars of overly excited college kids....AND some people with cowboy hats on, we discovered it was the same weekend as the Country Music Festival and we ended up being stuck in traffic for .... I don't even know how long. Being able to people watch this traffic jam was hilarious and a fun time all on it's own. We made friends with a group first pumping in a Jeep Wrangler that unexpectedly loved our EDM music. When I say friends I mean we exchanged a few words on the highway as we moved at 15 MPH.
We made it to the house and did lake house things; boats, boats, boats, swim noodles, apple icloud troubleshooting, playing music by the lake, s'mores, swimming, drinking, more food.

There was one problem, I learned that this house had a large amount of spiders. I only really saw a couple but I was told they were actually everywhere. In every corner, in every room, just waiting to attack. Naturally I was terrified so I stayed up the entire night reading. I'm glad I did because spiders are sneaky and insidious and while I was minding my own business one crawled on the bed. What if I had been asleep? Terrifying

But in all seriousness the weekend was fantastic and I was able to meet some great people and new friends. I was also able to completely finish Gone Girl. It was so amazing I should be kicking myself for not reading it sooner. I'm now reading her (Gillian Flynn) debut novel, Sharp Objects.

That sky though.

Sunnies.
