Lately i've been thinking that I don't take the time nearly enough to appreciate all the beauty the city of Boston has to offer. I find myself getting into a routine, which we all do, and not taking advantage of all the options. My friend Jess and I decided it would be fun to walk around different routes and to try a new dinner spot. We normally stick to the Back Bay area... well actually the same street, but this time walked up to the historical area of Beacon Hill. After dinner we went towards Faneuil Hall and got desserts from one of the vendors. It's not that i've never been to those areas, I have, many times, I just don't try new places as much as I should, or I push something off because I feel it will always be there and i'll eventually get to it. My pledge is to try new things more this summer and explore new areas that I actually haven't been to.

It was a great night of good food, catching up, and seeing the sights on a summer night in the city.

Got to wear these bad boys out for the first time!

We took the time to admire the beautiful classic architecture and landscaping as we walked to the restaurant.

We chose Scollay Square and sat inside. Boston is getting to be really humid. Really humid.

How good does this look? Jess chose the margarita pizza and I chose the lobster mac&cheese. You can never have too much lobster in the summer in New England! Well you probably can... but still. Both were great and I will definitely be going back to this great spot. Jess let me try some of her pizza, because she's awesome, the sauce had such a unique taste to it. We both loved it and it was nice to have a different experience.

We walked down to Faneuil Hall, it is very touristy especially in the summer, but it's fun and theres a ton of historical activities. One of the oldest being people watching. Which is mostly what we did.

We went inside and checked out all the venders. So many desserts to choose from. I think I know why my class trip in 5th grade didn't include this. Sneaky move teachers.

Slush.

Boston is pretty great.
